Rep. Paul: Impeachment a possibility for Obama
By: CNN Political Producer Rachel Streitfeld
Manchester, New Hampshire (CNN) - Ron Paul suggested Monday President Obama could be impeached for the killing of American-born al Qaeda official Anwar al-Awlaki.
Al-Awlaki, who preached terror as the public face of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, was killed by a drone strike in Yemen last week in a joint mission between the U.S. and Yemeni governments.
"I think the impeachment process would be possible," the Republican presidential candidate said in response to a question from a student at the University of New Hampshire, where he hosted a town hall.
"He will have to explain to the American people why his vision for bigger government, more spending, and higher taxes will work over the next four years when it hasn't worked in the past three and a half years.” – Sen. Rob Portman on President Obama
