Chris Matthews Conspiracy: 'Tea Party Keeps Hostage-Taking to Keep Bush in Power'

"What we've discovered now, Mr. Director [Jack Lew of OMB] on two occasions now, last December and now is that the Republican leadership going along with the Tea Party is able to hostage take to use the term we're both using here.

"Their able to use the hostage of the government crashing, the economy crashing to get their way. How can the American people configure that the next were around that we're not going to be stuck again with Bush's tax policies?

"We elected President Obama, the American people, but we're stuck with Bush's economic policies because they keep hostage-taking to keep Bush in power. President Bush is still dictating tax policy in this country because of the Tea Party."
