On "The Laura Ingraham Show" on Wednesday, Rep. Michele Bachmann reacted to the launch of first lady Michelle Obama's military outreach campaign, "Joining Forces," saying it was a calculated political move by a White House looking to salvage the president's falling approval ratings.
On Michelle Obama's military outreach campaign, Laura asked: "Do you find the timing of all this interesting, and if so, how?"
Michele Bachmann: "Well of course. It's all calculated. Thank goodness and bless them for going to be with our troops because we all support them and I'm thankful that anything that we can do that's positive for the troops, I'm for it. But is this political? Of course it is...the president is enjoying his lowest approval numbers ever. They need to do something to change that and Mrs. Obama's numbers are probably higher than the president's and so they're going to make a calculated political move and use her and they're smart to do that."
