For First Time, Poll Finds Most in U.S. Don’t Like New Health-Care Law
Published October 28, 2011 | The Wall Street Journal
Public opinion has tipped against the new health-care law, the Kaiser Family Foundation’s monthly tracking poll found.
Some 51% of respondents in the October survey now say they have an unfavorable opinion of the legislation passed by Democrats in March 2010, and just 34% of them feel favorably about it, the nonpartisan foundation found in a telephone survey of 1,223 people carried out in October.
Earlier polls by the foundation showed public opinion was roughly split though the gap had begun to widen in recent months. In September, 41% of respondents had a favorable view of the law, compared with 46% who viewed it unfavorably.
