Rumors swirled through New York that legendary British rock band Radiohead would play a surprise gig Friday in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
The protesters camped out in Manhattan's Zuccotti Park adamantly declared the Grammy Award winning group would perform free for the masses at 4 p.m. But that claim was quickly shot down by a spokesman for the band.
"They are officially not playing," said Steve Martin of Nasty Little Man, the firm that represents Radiohead.
