CNS News: Planned Parenthood Tries to Cash In On Mrs. Tebow's Choice to Pass On Abortion

Tim Tebow’s now famous abortion story exemplifies Planned Parenthood’s mission? That laughable argument was made by Cecile Richards, the head of Planned Parenthood, in The New York Times Jan. 17.
 
In a letter to the New York Times titled “Beyond Tebowmania: Giving Women a Choice,” Richards wrote:
 
“That suggests that Planned Parenthood does not celebrate birth or a remarkable story like Mr. Tebow’s. In fact, the Tebow story exemplifies the health care environment that Planned Parenthood promotes – a world in which women and families are supported in the medical decisions they make for themselves and their families without government interference.”
 
But the facts tell a different story. Planned Parenthood clinics overwhelmingly promote abortion to their pregnant customers. Their own numbers show that 91% of pregnant women who visit Planned Parenthood have abortions: Planned Parenthood provided 329,445 abortions, 31,098 pre-natal services, and 841 referrals to adoption agencies in 2010. It’s a federally funded abortion operation. Nothing more.
