PGA Championship: Tiger Woods talks about ex-caddie Steve Williams, expectations for final major

As expected, Tiger Woods pretty much dodged the Steve Williams issue at his just-completed press conference before the start of this week's PGA Championship, although he did admit he was surprised that his former caddie was so talkative after Adam Scott's win at the Bridgestone Invitational.

Woods said he texted congratulations to Williams Sunday night and confirmed that his agent, Mark Steinberg, spoke to Williams Tuesday, without getting into what was said.

"They talked, yeah, absolutely," he said the day before the final major on the golf calendar tees-off at the Atlanta Athletic Club.
