Git Up Dance Challenge

Instagram will put out a call to action to find the best "Git Up Dance Challenge” videos based on Blanco Brown's music video "The Git Up"! By using the designated hashtag #TEENCHOICEGITUP and posting a video showing their best git up, fans will have an opportunity to be featured in the show. A collection of the best "GitUp Dance Challenge" videos will be selected from the videos submitted.


Duration for Submissions (Ideal): Monday, July 29, 2019 @ 9 AM EST – Monday, August 5, 2019 @ 11:59 PM EST


Eligibility:
 All individuals in “Git Up Dance Challenge” Video Submissions must be at least 13 years of age and reside in the United States.


Selection Process: 
Show Producers will contact eligible “Git Up Dance Challenge” contenders as early as July 29th through Instagram Direct Message. Depending on response time and interest of individuals, they will be qualified for consideration for the on-air component. Final Selections to be made by Monday, August 5th, 2019.

We are looking for: 

  1. A)Anyone who has a “Git Up Dance Challenge” videodoing your version of the dance from Blanco Brown's music video "The Git Up.” The videos may be shown on the Live Broadcast of the 2019 Teen Choice Awards (August 11th, 2019 from 8 – 10 PM EST on FOX)
  2. B)“Git Up Dance Challenge” Submission videos may be shown on-air depending on the content received. Producers will select submissions and get signed releases from those individuals.

All individuals in the “Git Up Dance Challenge” Video (and guardian, if individual is a minor) and the person who took the video must sign all production releases & comply with all production requests to to be considered for participation in Live Broadcast.

YOU DON’T NEED TO MAKE A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT TO SUBMIT YOUR VIDEO FOR CONSIDERATION AS PART OF THE “TEEN CHOICE GIT UP DANCE” VIDEO EVENT (THE “VIDEO EVENT PROCESS”).  THE VIDEO EVENT PROCESS IS NOT A CONTEST OR SWEEPSTAKES.  NO PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED, AND BOB BAIN PRODUCTIONS, INC. (“PRODUCER”) MAY ELECT NOT TO USE ANY OF THE SUBMISSIONS IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION.  THE VIDEO EVENT PROCESS IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED OR ENDORSED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH INSTAGRAM.

 

HOW TO SUBMIT:  To participate in the Video Event Process, you must be at least 13 years old, and a resident of the United State.  To submit a video of you doing the “Git Up Dance” from Blanco Brown's music video "The Git Up" (the “Footage”), simply post it on Instagram with the hashtag #TEENCHOICEGITUP.  To submit via Instagram, you must have an Instagram account and your account must be public.  If you do not already have an Instagram account, create an Instagram account according to the instructions onInstagram.com.  Please note that you must comply with the Instagram Terms of Use in order to create and use an Instagram account and participate in the Video Event Process.

 

To participate in the Video Event Process, you represent and warrant that: (i) you are at least 13 years old; (ii) you are a resident of the United States; (iii) you are the owner and/or creator of the Footage; (iv) the Footage is original to you; (v) you have secured the consent of anyone appearing in the Footage; and (vi) the Footage does not violate or infringe upon the rights of any person or entity.  Neither FOX nor Producer is responsible for any unauthorized third party use of any Footage.  Footage will not be acknowledged or returned and will not be received or held "in confidence" and your submission of Footage does not create a confidential relationship or obligation of secrecy between you, on the one hand, and FOX and/or any of its affiliates and/or Producer and/or any of its affiliates, on the other hand.  You will not receive any compensation for submitting Footage and/or for such Footage being selected, posted and/or utilized by FOX and/or Producer in any manner.

 

SELECTION PROCESS:  Producer reserves the right to determine in its sole discretion which submission(s) have satisfied the requirements stated in these Terms.  FOX and Producer have no obligation to post, exhibit or utilize any Footage even if its submission satisfies the requirements stated in these Terms.  FOX and/or Producer have no obligation to use any Footage for any purpose, and any decision to use or not use Footage submitted will be in Producer’s sole discretion.  FOX and/or Producer have no obligation to notify you if Producer does not elect to use your Footage.  FOX and/or Producer may contact you to sign a separate Release Agreement if Producer is interested in using your Footage.

 

If you elect to submit Footage in accordance with these Terms, you further represent and warrant that: (a) your Footage was created by you or you have the right to use or have received prior permission from any individual involved in the creation of the Footage or any individual depicted in the Footage and you have the right to use the Footage, and all elements of the Footage, for the purposes stated herein and you can grant the license to use the Footage to Producer and Fox; (b) the Footage does not contain any prominent use of third party trademarks, trade names, brands or logos; (c) the Footage does not depict any celebrities, anyone under the age of 13, or more than three identifiable persons (e.g., no crowd scenes); (d) the Footage does not contain any music; (e) the Footage does not contain material that violates or infringes any rights of any other person or entity, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other rights; (f) the Footage does not disparage Producer, FOX or any other person or entity; (g) the Footage is not offensive and does not contain any elements such as nudity, graphically violent imagery, sexually suggestive imagery, is not explicitly racial, profane, slanderous, does not visually depict drugs, alcohol or gambling and is not contrary to the interests of the Teen Choice Awards, Producer or FOX, as determined in the sole discretion of Producer; and (h) the Footage complies with the terms and conditions of Instagram.

 

You hereby agree that all Footage you submit conforms to the guidelines and content restrictions above and that Producer, in its sole discretion, may remove or request that you remove your Footage and disqualify you from participating in or in connection with the Teen Choice Awards if Producer believes your Footage fails to conform in any respect.

 

You hereby release Producer, FOX, all respective Teen Choice Award nominees, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, successors and affiliated companies, units and divisions, advertising and promotional agencies and all entities involved in the production, distribution, sponsorship and/or promotion of the Teen Choice Awards; each of their respective owners, officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees; and each of their respective successors, assigns and licensees (the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, liability, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death, bodily injury, and/or any claims for defense and/or indemnity, in connection with your Footage, and Producer’s and FOX’s or their designee’s use or non-use thereof.  You agree and acknowledge that participation in the Teen Choice Awards, including, without limitation, your decision to provide Footage to Producer, shall not give rise to any confidential, fiduciary, implied-in-fact, implied-in-law, or other special relationship between Producer and you, and does not place Producer or FOX in a position that is any different from the position held by members of the general public with regard to your Footage or elements thereof. 

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you waive any and all rights you may have under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California, and every like provision in any foreign jurisdiction.  You expressly acknowledge that you have read and understand Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California, which provides as follows:

 

A GENERAL RELEASE DOES NOT EXTEND TO CLAIMS WHICH THE CREDITOR OR RELEASING PARTY DOES NOT KNOW OR SUSPECT TO EXIST IN HIS OR HER FAVOR AT THE TIME OF EXECUTING THE RELEASE,WHICH IF KNOWN BY HIM OR HER MUST HAVE MATERIALLY AFFECTED HIS OR HER SETTLEMENT WITH THE DEBTOR OR RELEASED PARTY.

 

Producer may transfer and assign these Terms including this release agreement or all or any of its rights or privileges stated herein to any entity or individual without restriction.  These Terms and this release shall be binding on all of your successors-in-interest and heirs.

 

These Terms and the interpretation of them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California without regard to its conflicts of law rules.
